This was my first home purchase, and I'm very fortunate to have Cathy as my real estate agent throughout the entire process. Bottom line is that my very first offer I have ever made on a home was accepted. The house was very competitive as there were 13 bids. The greater DC area market is absurdity crazy, but through her experience, professionalism and advice- 4 weeks later I was able to attain my very first home. Knowing that the sellers wanted to close in a shorter time frame, she recommended that I change lenders, as my lender at the time had a 45-60 day lead time on closing, and my bid would not be as competitive. Based on Cathy's advice on switching lenders, I was able to secure a great mortgage rate that was below 3% and close on time! She is very professional, personable, very attentive, and excellent with communications. We probably exchanged over 100 emails and kept me informed throughout the entire process between the lender, title and escrow, the sellers agent, and all the other items that are part of the house buying process. During the search for a home, she was very honest about homes she had thought were going to be much higher than asking and knew and understood my needs and limits of what I was willing to pay for a home. She was right each time as some of these homes sold for much much higher than I would have been willing bid on. It was a pleasure working with Cathy, and I highly recommend her.
